Don't think Nissan has publicly announced this yet, but the 2018 Rogue Sport will get the automatic emergency braking and blind-spot monitor features as standard for the 2018 model year. This is great news because the equipment used to be limited to the SL trim level with Premium Package, which costs $30,115. Now it's standard across the board.

I like this transition to tech they're making which should mean that by time a next generation version comes out we should have a Rogue with some of the most competitive tech in its segment. If this wasn't the case then i would be concerned about how Rogue sales would be in the future.

Not surprising to see Nissan doing this on the Rogue, considering the incredible standard drive assist tech they are offering on the new Leaf. Should help to elevate them in the segment above what's being offered from their competitors.

A lot of what used to be extra are coming in as standard, which is great for us who doesn't want to upgrade just to get one or two of those features. What else do you guys want to see Nissan add as a standard?

Standard AWD would be great and it might even make it easier for them to move these around to dealers, the less options there is to choose from usually results in easier logistics.

With better standard tech being offered on 2018 models, its probably safe to assume that there are some substantial incentives being offered right now on 2017's. Might be able to get an older, higher spec'd trim for a good deal.
