I let my Aunt borrow my car last week and she called me to ask me why the car is always beeping at her. I just told her it was the lane departure warning and to stay between the lines, also to use changing lanes

. I'm sure yours is something different as you by now know the lane departure is beeping at everything, even when you cross cracks in the road.
I know the topic/messages I decided to respond to are from a couple of years ago & maybe nobody stops by anymore however just in case....
Oh no, it is NOT lane departure or anything else like that. Original poster is 100% right on that it's the door & door ajar warning. It happens to me all the time & is EXTREMELY annoying. If I make a left turn at 10mph+, lay my arm on the armrest or rest my knee against the door which is how I drive 100% of the time, door ajar dash warning image appears, door ajar beep sounds, car unlocks & dome lights come on. As soon as the centrifugal of turn dissipates, dash warning + dome lights turn off & the car relocks itself. This is an ongoing issue which obviously should not be. The 2017 Rogue I've been driving is my mother's vehicle & I only started driving it because my piece of shit Fiat has needs new brakes & I am without funds to do so. My mother is a decent but strangely contradictory driver. I hate to say she's a great driver because I've seen her digging around in her purse while driving, stop behind then go around someone to shoot through a light that'd just turned red & I've seen her fly down a 30-35mph road. HOWEVER, she's weird about mpg & as a result, always attempts to achieve optimal MPG each trip. So going around a turn or whatever, she does so at 5-10mph unless it's a turn on an interstate. Having said that, SHE mentioned the car does it. My piece of shit Fiat has a door ajar alarm/bell/sound/tone - whatever you want to call it - but mine has never sounded for the aforementioned reasons. I'm surprised I didn't see far more results Googling it & even moreso I saw no class action suit about it. If someone's door actually comes open while driving & they are injured or worse as a result, Nissan could have a hell of a lawsuit on their hands. Yes everyone should "click it" wherever required by law HOWEVER...
