Another good and well-structured review of Rogue from Los Angeles Times. It was a bit funny to me when, they compared Rogue's ProPilot to Tesla’s Autopilot, Cadillac’s Super Cruise or Mercedes-Benz’ Distronic Plus. I don't think that it's a smart idea to compare ProPilot, which is for tens of thousands of dollars cheaper with such a huge brand names.

The ProPilot could use some fine tuning to fix a few problems like staying in the center of a lane instead of drifting from left to right. Maybe Nissan isn't spending as much as the other companies in R&D for their drive system and until the problems are fixed, I can't see many people springing a higher trim just for ProPilot.

I'd love to have ProPilot on my future Rogue, however, it seems like it will be only available as an option on the 2018 SL grade as part of the Platinum Package, with an expected starting price of $36,998. I have sometime to consider whether I can afford the highest trim level or not, cause at the very beginning I was aimed on the SV model.

I'd go with the SL AWD if the ProPilot wasn't standard equipment. It's something I don't need nor want and it raises the trims' MSRP, but it does come with around view monitor. Have to decide if the 360 view is worth the cost when I'm also paying for something unneeded.

I've never had this 360 monitor but heard that it's really useful feature. If you don't want to pay more for the higher trim level you may consider installing 360° SURROUND VIEW CAMERA SYSTEM.

Anyone concerned about resale value might want to consider getting the trim with the cameras since that could mean an easier sale and higher price point come time to sell it. but that depends on how important this is to you.

I don't expect the Rouge Sport to retain much of it's original value after a few years, may as well keep yours and drive it into the ground. That seems like the best form of ownership IMO unless you're one to change cars every few years. Then a higher trim with all the bells and whistles may be the best bet.
