Hey guys, my build thread of my 17 Rouge Sport :)

I own S with AWD. Things done so far:

K&N filter
all around tint (50% front and 25% back)
LED low beams
LED reverse lights
Rally armor mud flaps
Hella 500 lights
OEM tow hook with 5 ton d ring
5th door sound deadened

coming mods:
BFoodrich 215/65 R16 K02s
enkei classic compe 16 inch wheels
eibach pro lift springs (1.1 inch)

Not looking for anything Wrangler can do but do want that mean look and worry free adventures :)

Nothing too crazy so far

I like the Hella lights! Everything looks great. Only one thing I would change is the K & N air filter. If you drive on dusty roads this filter will not filter out fine particles from entering your manifold. Also, if it's oiled (which i believe it is) your MAF sensor could get an oily residue and may need cleaning/replacement. Use a good Wix or oem filter. You're not gaining any more power from this mighty 141 hp engine. Bobistheoilguy.com has lots of comments from very knowledgeable members. Also, consider dedicated snow tires if you live where there's bad winters. You should have plenty of ground clearance! Very nice ride!

You need to get the bottom front fog lights. It'll look sportier and nice. Just my opinion.
Found an OEM kit for RS... but unfortunately seller told me I won't be able to install it since Rogue Sport S doesn't come pre wired and Nissan just doesn't have a solution for that.. need to look for an aftermarket kit

Thanks! K&N filter was just a step forward in modifying since I had no idea what I wanted... first I wanted to lower it... now decided to lift it and you are right, I might need to switch to OEM filter when I go off road... but right now I'm enjoying 2 extra mpg and a bit faster acceleration (butt dyno :D ) I live in NorCal so no snow for me and I'm getting Yokohama G015s... so no issues here

Got my wheels and tires - 215/70 R16 Yokohama Geloander G015... they fit, no rubbing at all and I might even upgrade to 225/70 R16 in the future with 1inch lift should be no problem
Ride is smooth and super quiet (quieter than stock Kumhos 215/60 R17)
I think performance and handling improved too
Stock wheels and tires were about 47lb and new setup is about 44lb, 3lb minus from each corner
I recommend this mod to everyone who wants smooth and comfortable ride.. oh and car gained whooping 5mm of road clearance :D (wheel gap decreased too)

Oh and got a nice side decal too :D

Photos are taken in Half Moon Bay, California ...

Although i do not know for sure, i have some doubts that the roof rails require some special load support on a lower model QQ or RS. A modern car should be able to support itself if flipped. The stock rails are only rated for 150 lbs which is not much weight. I suggest that you call another dealer and see if you can add the OEM or similar rails. Keep in mind that a dealer would prefer that you just increase the price and go to the higher trim to get the option that you want. You could also buy a third party roof rack which rests on rubber feet and clip to the door jamb edge instead of the roof rails. But you will still have the same load issue as the rails. If you call a rack specialist, they can tell you if the rack is compatible and if your car can take the load.

thanks, I already decided to go with an aftermarket roof racks, OEM will be good option but not worth it I think.... but same 150lb limitation, not like I'm going to fill it with 150lb but good to have for road trips since trunk space sucks

I came to a very interesting conclusion - Nissan hates everyone who buys low trim cars.... I ordered aftermarket fog lights, trim and wiring thinking it will be kinda plug and play... but nope... nissan decided to screw me over even here... my 16 civic lx (which is low trim model) has no fog lights as well... BUT it comes pre wired ... it is truly plug and play... but NIssan... just... idk guys... I guess time to look for another solution...

Ordered 10 inch slim Rockville subwoofer and 10 inch android head unit from Amazon, 4 replacement speakers from CT Sounds... All I need is a pack of sound deadening to keep that front passenger door quiet... We will see how it goes

First time using slim all in one subwoofer, mostly good reviews though, not looking for a huge bass anyway, just a missing low end note
Head unit? Well, I was considering regular 2din Pioneer from crutchfield, but decided to give it a try, I can always return it, the reason I bought it from Amazon, 10 inch screen is almost double the pioneer I wanted.
It has 4 core cpu
2gb of ram
16gb memory, can be expanded using sd card
4g modem
wifi
apple car play
front and rear camera support
hdmi out
and pretty much everything android tablet has
fully plug and play in qashqai, but seller told me it works with Rogue Sport... well, we will see
In terms of audio it probably won't be as good as pioneer, but I'm ok with that, I can't hear the difference anyway (unless it is truly horrible)
Speakers, purchased them for my 16 Civic, but I got a set of Infinity speakers for it, so I'll be installing CT Sounds in RS....
no speaker amp at this moment, but will be thinking about it later, after I get my lift kit installed, roof racks and led fog lights

I have a 2018 Rogue sport SV that looks like it has the assembly and housing on the bumper (like yours) just missing the bulbs. I thought it would be an easy install. Is that not the case?

i don't think sv has pre wired fog lights... it requires new steering wheel column with fog lights switches, about $250 and fog lights, about $200 if you want oem led...
