Hey everyone,

I'm new and just wanted to introduce myself. Long time driver of various Nissan vehicles and curious of what's to come for the Rogue. I've seen some very interesting concepts of what's rumored to be the new platform of the Rogue and I'm hopeful we'll learn more about the possible upcoming redesign.

Welcome to the forum!

I'm big on design this time around after seeing the new Maxima that kicked off the whole new take on design.
If Nissan can come out with a new Rogue Sport that is as sporty looking as the Toyota CH-R then it could be a strong force in the segment.

Well seeing as how they're are already rumors of a TRD variant to the CH-R in Japan, I am curious if Nissan has any plans of a higher performance trim such as the Nismo. I definitely think they are behind in terms of styling when comparing the Rogue to what's offered in the CH-R and I hope they aren't at a disadvantage with performance options as well.

I agree with Axel about Nissan being a little behind in design... and I’m adding technology to that too! (Most other vehicles in ever cheaper segments have Apple CarPlay) However, I would think that Nissan would dump a Nismo version into the new Kicks that debuts later this year. It seems mlike it would be the C-HR competitor before the Rogue Sport. Also, several dealers have confirmed that the Kicks is the sporty Juke replacement.

My dealer also confirmed the following:
- 2019 Altima will have an AWD option
- the next generation Frontier will have softer features (less boxy, more curvy)

It might be a good thing for all we know because a lot of people I have spoken to said they like more reserved styling. Might be why over the years I have seen people leave BMW and Mercedes for Audi. Similar thing is happening to cheaper segments such as this.
