For our good friends in the UK, the Nissan Qashqai will be receiving a Black Edition that will come with a £27,310 price tag attached to it. Not too bad in my opinion.
For the price, you'll be getting 19" black alloy wheels, a Black Pearl metallic paint, as well as front and rear bumper enhancements.
Over in the interior, we'll be seeing a panoramic roof with one-touch shade which is available on the Tekna model for an additional price. The whole vehicle safety assist package, of course black leather upholstery and an upgraded infotainment system that includes a seven-inch touchscreen with DAB radio, navigation, and 360-degree Around View Monitor.
Seems to be only one option up front for the engine however which will be the dCi 110 diesel unit with a six-speed manual gearbox with an acclaimed combined 70.6mpg UK.
I'm not too fond of the plasti-dip thing.. doesn't get that finish that I would like to see. But it seems like that's pretty much it... The 7" screen doesn't sound like a bad idea either.
it's not for everyone, if you want a quick and easy solution plasti-dip is it. Wrapping isn't as easy and for a lot of people a bit overwhelming, if you pay a shop to do it, for some it will be too much.
just have to see where you fall among the few options out there.
That is true. Different strokes for different folks.
Wrapping is quite difficult though.. I tried and failed miserably lol so now it's more of just paying someone to wrap the smaller parts as they're not that expensive.
I can barely put on those protective phone covers let alone wrap a car. One thing that does interest me is the 360-degree Around View Monitor but that's not worth the cost of the black edition.
It's not rocket science, if you can follow instructions then you can put on those protective covers and even vinyl onto a car. Assuming most of us have the sort of mental capacity required to generate the type of income necessary to afford the Qashqai, it can be done. But depending on how large of an area you're trying to work with you might require a helping hand.
Anyone can do it, but it's the level of quality you can get it done with. Definitely a protective cover on a phone is pretty simple. But is no way comparable to vinyl wrapping. There's ways to apply it that'll look smooth, but the edges will fry up in a couple days, or you'll over stretch and the edges will turn white, or something.
It's like rotary buffing. Anyone can do it, but can do they it properly without screwing something up and achieving prime results.
Like anything someone is new to, testing on an area and practicing before getting to the real job is the way to go. Still a lot of motivation for someone to do it themselves since the cost to pay someone is too much for some people.
Very true indeed. I myself actually might start practicing. There's vinyl sample packs you can buy and play around with and try to conform on different angled surfaces and shapes
