Daddy of them all maybe overseas and that's probably why only now Nissan is bringing it over to the US, just because its difficult to compete here, not exactly the playground car makers want to start, only for the brave.

The American market has a lot happening in this segment so seeing if its the Daddy here will be the real test.

How many of you here are from the US or Canada?

I'm from the land of the moose and excessive snow ;)

The competition is definitely a lot stiffer in NA then anywhere else. It's a very vast playing field with many competitors.

I'm Canadian too eh! The Qashqai should fare very well over here looking at this premium trim testing about. They'll need it over here. With the step up in luxury on these ends, it has to come with the tech along with the premium features everyone is used to

I assume Nissan would need to offer an affordable heating package for those of you up North as it seems to be a necessity. They need to step up their standard package game because if everything adds up too much, people may choose other options with a longer standard features list.

Heated seats, mirrors, and steering wheel in one package would be great. Maybe an option for some real good winter tires would be appreciated too but the dealer would probably gouge that price. The only way to make it worth it would be to throw it into the financing.

That will vary depending on the dealer you're with, if its more in a city center and a high volume dealer then odds are they'll have a more welcoming price. Also Nissan isn't exactly known for vehicles like this, so priority will be placed on getting sales rather than squeezing every penny they can out of potential owners.
