Hi all, just got a 2017 rogue SL with both packages, and I’m loving it so far, haven’t tested in the highway yet, I had a juke and I’m sure I will notice the difference, but I think the rogue sport will make up for in space and other features. Anyways, I was surprised about the lack of tinted windows, I just assume most SUVs had them as a standard featured. Has anyone done their windows? I asked my dealer and they don’t do them, so I am researching places around the Boston area.

RogueMX, same here, 2017 Monarch Orange SL both packages. I was surprised that the rear did not have privacy glass from factory. I am shopping around for a place to tint the windows. So far, the best I got is $150 all around.

BTW I am in Miami. I am coming from an Altima and I love how this car drives. However, the Altima did better gas mileage.

Oddly enough the Rogue Sport is one of the brands better selling products so I don't think it can be said they didn't include tints to cut cost. Unless it can be said that they know people won't mind its short comings because of how good of a product it is, so the end up paying for these things on their own.

Nissan has traditionally placed privacy glass in their top-trim models, but the same wasn’t true for my ‘17 Maxima Platinum and Rogue Sport SL. I’m a little disappointed; considering my Dad’s Rogue SL (not Sport) had privacy glass on his. However, I think the rationale is because of the shared parts with the Qashqai. Not many drivers have tinted windows there... at least that’s what I noticed when I was in Liverpool and Brussells last year. (My first time seeing the Qashqai/Rogue Sport - which made me fall in love with it.)

I’m opting for ceramic tint on my windows. In the Bay Area, it’s about $380 for the rear half of the car and $100 more for the front two (2) windows.

$380 is about average for CERAMIC tint here in California for the rear half of the vehicle. METALLIC tint is sub $200.

A lot of Californians opt for CERAMIC tint because it has the best heat and UV rejection. Many tint shops even place this on the windshield, but that's overkill for me.
