The 2017 Qashqai manual states that towing is not recommended. However, google reveals a number of USA dealerships stating up to 1100 lbs. I've been looking at a Sylvansport Go popup which weighs 842 lbs with a tongue weight of about 70 lbs. The QQ itself wouldn't be overloaded with passengers and cargo. Perhaps 350-400 lbs tops.

What is really (safely - engine, drivetrain, brakes and road handling) possible for the QQ? Experiences? N.America model equipped with 2.0l gasoline, automatic.

I'm sorry I do not know the answer but I would call Nissan Corporate and see what they say. I personally would be leary of towing 1200 lbs. (842lbs+350lbs) w/our CVT transmission. Welcome to the forum.

No worries then....our cvt is more capable than I would have thought!
